In 2011 a rave was planned in the Carlton area of Yorkshire, within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and some friends who were part of the organisation group were moving some equipment under the cover of darkness when they had an unexpected encounter with what may be a British Bigfoot.

   Though nothing was ever seen, the group of pals heard something strange. Though it was only the sound of something growling, the group felt it was mysterious enough to not be normal. The witnesses described the noise as a cross between a snarl and a howl. Bigfoots and similar creatures are known to howl, so did these ravers hear a British wildman that night? Whatever the cause of the growls seemed to be following their movements. They never saw any other sign of what it was, so it remains a mystery.
