Close by to a large area of forest and woodland, including the Hamstreet Nature Reserve, the village of Bilsington is a farming abode in rural Kent. It was here in May 1961 that two school girls had an encounter with a British Bigfoot, one they would not forget in a hurry.

   The girls were returning from school one afternoon when they saw the beast. Details are thin and not very forthcoming but what was told was that the girls saw a large hairy hominid emerge from the trees into an adjacent field. It stood and watched them for sometime, and then it turned its' back on them, running away back into the woods. The girls then added a very odd detail - the creature appeared to have a TAIL! If the girls did see a tail, what does this say about this report, and the British Bigfoot phenomena in general?
